NURTURING HEARTS, GROWING DISCIPLES

With God as our center and parents as our partners, our goal is to help plant seeds of faith in your children’s hearts. At TUMC, we strive to connect your children to God through Jesus, and when your little ones are with us on Sunday mornings, they know they are part of God’s family.

CHILDREN IN WORSHIP

Children are a vital part of our worshiping community, and we celebrate their presence in every service. Each week includes a Children’s Moment designed especially for them, inviting them to engage with the message in a meaningful way. Kids also have opportunities to serve as acolytes, helping bring the light of Christ into worship. During the offering, children are invited to follow the ushers with bright sand buckets to collect loose change for our Mission of the Month—an act that teaches generosity and reminds us that all ages share in the life and ministry of the church.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School is offered for kids ages 3 through 6th grade and takes place from 9:45–10:45 AM. Children are escorted from the sanctuary to the Education Building across the street partway through worship, and parents may pick them up there following the service.

SAFE SANCTUARIES

All of our Sunday School teachers and volunteers are fully background-checked and trained through Safe Sanctuaries, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for every child.

NURSERY AREA

We also offer a play and comfort area downstairs in the church building—perfect for kids who need a break, quiet playtime, or for nursing mothers. This space is open and available throughout the entire worship service.
